3 IPL performers who are likely to be picked in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2025

The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to take place in September. The tournament will begin on 9th September with the final set to take place on 28th September. The event will be played across two venues in the United Arab Emirates- Dubai and Abu Dhabi. 

The Indian Cricket Team will be one of the favourites to win the tournament as they have been putting in the hard yards for the last few years and have been winning tournaments. They are placed in Group A and will be opening their campaign in the tournament on 10th September. 

In the last few days, there have been a lot of talks about the Indian squad for the series. There have been many reports which are circulating and are keeping many excited. Some of the players are expected to make a return to the team while, few are likely to miss out.

Amid all this, we took an opportunity to see three players who can get included in the team for the Asia Cup 2025 based on their heroics in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. 

3 IPL performers who are likely to be picked in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2025 

1) Shreyas Iyer 

One of the IPL performers who is likely to be there in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2025 is Shreyas Iyer. Leading Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the tournament, he was sensational as a batter as well as a leader. He was amongst the top run-getters in the tournament with around 600 runs and also took his team to the final. 

Also, there have been various reports which have claimed that Shreyas Iyer is all set to make his comeback in the team for the Asia Cup 2025. If he gets included in the side, it will be a massive boost for the team. 

2) Krunal Pandya 

Another deserving candidate who performed in the IPL and is likely to be picked in the Asia Cup 2025 for India is Krunal Pandya. Playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), he was top notch with the ball and also contributed with the bat when the team was under pressure. 

Krunal Pandya unleashed his best this season as he picked 17 wickets and also won the Player of the Match in the final. With Ravindra Jadeja retiring from the T20Is, he will surely be in reckoning to get selected. 

3) Sai Sudharsan 

Sai Sudharsan, who was the leading run-getter in the IPL 2025, is also expected to be there in the Indian Team for the Asia Cup 2025. The left-hander opened the innings for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the league and set the stage on fire, scoring truckloads of runs, hammering over 750 runs. 

Sai Sudharsan was recently added to the indian test setup. He featured in three games for India in the test series against England. There have also been reports that he is in contention to be picked for the team for the Asia Cup 2025.
