"Brainless from Gautam Gambhir to drop Arshdeep Singh" - Fans fume at India head coach for dropping pacer over his 'personal issues' in Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan

Fans on Twitter reacted after the Indian Cricket Team yet again dropped Arshdeep Singh from the playing XI, going with just one pacer in the team for the final of the Asia Cup 2025 against the Pakistan Cricket Team. The summit clash between the two teams is underway at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

For the final against Pakistan, India suffered a massive blow as Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the game. The all-rounder had a quadriceps injury, which he faced during the last game and was deemed unfit to take part in the final.

With Hardik Pandya getting ruled out of the match, it was almost certain that Arshdeep Singh would play. The left-arm pacer had a sensational time in the last match, giving away just two runs in the Super Over against Sri Lanka and helping India win. 

However, to many surprises, Arshdeep Singh was not included in the Indian XI for the game against Pakistan. In place of Hardik Pandya, they added Rinku Singh into the side, giving importance to the batting depth, which has been the mantra of the team under Gautam Gambhir’s coaching.

Moreover, Arshdeep Singh has been India’s best bowler in T20Is. He recently took 100 wickets in the format and became the first Indian bowler to achieve the feat. His absence has cost India as Pakistan bowlers were all over the Indian bowlers in the first ten overs. 

Shivam Dube shared the new ball with Jasprit Bumrah. But it's fair say that India missed the services of a quality bowler with the new ball.
