Young India batter Yashasvi is all set to break an all-time record of Virat Kohli for the Indian team in the Test series. He is just 147 runs away from surpassing the senior batter as a batter with the most runs in a Test series for India. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to achieve the feat in the ongoing IND vs ENG series. There are still two games left in the series. With the kind of batting display he has shown in the series, it won’t be a surprise if he achieves the feat in the next Test match in Ranchi. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in the sensational touch in the ongoing IND vs ENG. Despite being the youngest in the team, he has carried the Indian batting lineup against England. He has been one of the main reasons why India is currently ahead in the series 2-1. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal going through impressive run in IND vs ENG Test series 

Yashasvi Jaiswal started the series when he slammed 80 runs in the first match. After that, he has been nothing short of exceptional. The batter slammed a blistering double ton in the Vizag Test and helped his team stage a comeback after losing first match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal then went step ahead in the Rajkot IND vs ENG Test. The batter in the second innings played a stupendous knock and helped his team win the game. He hit the second double ton of the series and helped his team set a target of over 500 runs and eventually win the game. 

Yashavi Jaiswal also became the leading run-getter in the series with 545 runs to his name from just 3 matches. The young batter is the only batter from India alongside Virat Kohli to score 500 runs in the Test series for India. 

With two matches still remaining in the series, Yashavi Jaiswal will no doubt will be favourite to go past Virat Kohli. The senior batter scored 689 runs against England during 2018. It remains to be seen if you batter can script history or not.
