The Mumbai Indians is a women’s cricket team based in Mumbai, India, and set to participate in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The team is owned by Indiawin Sports, the same company that owns the men’s Mumbai Indians team. They acquired the Mumbai-based franchise for the Women’s Premier League for a whopping ₹912.99 crore (equivalent to US$110 million).
Charlotte Edwards has been appointed as the head coach of the team, while Jhulan Goswami and Devika Palshikar will serve as the bowling and batting coaches, respectively. The squad was formed through the inaugural WPL player auction that took place in February 2023.
