Virat Kohli Century: War broke out on Twitter after Virat Kohli’s century | IPL 2023

IPL 2023: On Thursday night, Sunriesrs Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore squared off in the 65th game of the 2023 IPL. From the perspective of qualifying, this was a must-win game for RCB.

Batting first, the Hyderabad team scored 186 runs at the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In response, captain Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli played brilliant innings for Bangalore. There was a 172-run partnership between these two for the first wicket, which was the highest partnership of this season. Kohli scored 100 runs in 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and four sixes, which was his sixth century of IPL career. Faf du Plessis played an inning of 71 runs in 47 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes.

After Virat Kohli’s century, Kohli started trending on Twitter, with fans, as well as former players and his teammates, praising him. Among all these tweets, Three tweets began spreading like wildfire on Twitter. The first tweet was by Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, the second by online food delivery company Swiggy, and the third was by India TV Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma. So what was it in these three tweets that started gathering headlines fast, let us know in today’s article.

1. Mohammad Amir

The first tweet was from Pakistani pace bowler Mohammad Amir. He praised Virat while tweeting and he said that “What an inning by one and only the real king @imVkohli take a bow”. With this tweet, he targeted Pakistan’s opener batsman Babar Azam. Because many fans sometimes consider Babar Azam as King and sometimes Virat Kohli is given the title of King. But after this tweet, Mohammad Aamir made it clear that Kohli is the King of the present cricketing world.

2. Swiggy Instamart

To understand this tweet of an online food delivery company, we all have to know the whole matter first. Actually, during the RCB vs LSG match, there was a heated argument between Virat Kohli and Afghanistan bowler Naveen-ul-Haq.

The controversy continued on social media even after the match. In fact, after Virat Kohli got out during the RCB vs MI match, Naveen-ul-Haq posted a picture of mango along with a TV Screen while watching the match and wrote “Sweet Mangoes”.

Now when Virat Kohli used to play cricket, all his fellow players used to call him by the name of Cheeku. This is how Swiggy tweeted, “Sorry Mango Cheeku is the real king” which was directly targeting Afghan bowler Naveen ul Haq.

3. Rajat Sharma

The third tweet was by Rajat Sharma, Editor-in-Chief of India TV, which is making a lot of headlines. Actually when there was a heated argument between Kohli and Gambhir during the RCB vs LSG match. During that time Rajat Sharma said during a debate on his news channel India TV that. Gautam Gambhir is a coach as well as a Member of Parliament and it does not suit him to do so.

After this debate, Gautam Gambhir also gave a befitting reply to Rajat Sharma through a tweet. Responding to the same tweet, Rajat Sharma tweeted this indirectly targeting Gautam Gambhir.
