Ind vs SL 2nd T20I: The Hardik Pandya-led India opened their 2023 campaign with a thrilling victory over Sri Lanka in the first Twenty20 International on January 3rd in Mumbai. India is currently hosting a bilateral T20I series against Sri Lanka, with the opening match held on Tuesday at Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium where India won the contest by a close 2-run margin.

Toss can play a major role. This venue has only hosted three international T20s, and in those three games, the chasing team has won two. It doesn't say much, but it supports the widespread perception that any target can be chased in T20Is. Hardik might wish to bat first once again, with his desire to put the club in challenging positions moving forward. So If India bat first and locked the 170+ runs target, they are going to win it, and if the visitors bat first, they would need a minimum of 180 runs to stop the Indian batting lineup which is never going to be that easy anyway.

BCCI included Akash Depp as the replacement for Shivam Mavi in India's Squad for the Cricket Asian Games 2023.



Shivam Mavi was previously added to the squad of India, but due to injury, he will miss the Asian Games. Akash Depp got a chance to play for India in the Asian Games 2023. The chances of Tilak Varma and Washington Sundar are very low to participate in the Asian Games due to the upcoming ODI series against Australia. 



Australia will tour India for an ODI series against the Indian Team from September 22, 2023, to September 27, 2023. Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead Team India in the Asian Games, scheduled from September 28 to October 7, 2023, in Hangzhou, China.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have suffered a massive blow ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. As per the reports, it is learned that two star pacers in Mohsin Khan and Mayank Yadav are likely to be ruled out of the upcoming edition. 
The IPL 2025 is all set to begin from 22nd March and even before the the league has started, Lucknow Super Giants have dealt major blows. The franchise was mulling over the fitness of three pacers in Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan and Mayank Yadav. 
The reports claimed that Avesh Khan is all set to be fine and will join the team before IPL 2025. However, there are concerns over the fitness of Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan. The duo are yet to get the fitness clearance and this has put Lucknow Super Giants under massive pressure. 
Mayank Yadav faced a back injury during the T20I series against Bangladesh in October and, since then, hasn't played a single game. On the other hand, Mohsin Khan has some unknown injury and was last seen in action during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 in December. 
<h2>Lucknow Super Giants has called up Shardul Thakur and Shivam Mavi as cover for Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan in IPL 2025 </h2>
The reports added that as a cover for Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan, Lucknow Super Giants has called up Shardul Thakur and Shivam Mavi. Although there is no official confirmation, the duo is likely to be added to the team for the IPL 2025.  
Both Shardul Thakur and Shivam Mavi went unsold at the IPL 2025 auction. However, if added to the team, it will be a great opportunity for them to stake their claim back in the league with their performances. 
Shardul Thakur has been a veteran in the IPL. He was part of the Chennai Super Kings squad last year. Overall in 92 innings, he has picked 94 wickets at an average of 30.52. With the bat, he has hammered 307 runs in 37 innings at a strike rate of 138.91. 
Shivam Mavi, on the other hand, has played 32 games in the IPL and has taken 30 wickets at an average of over 31 and an economy of over 8.
