Australia vs India: According to the recent development from the official sources close to the team India, the Ajinkya Rahane led side is unwilling to travel to Brisbane?s Gaba for the 4th test match due to hard quarantine rules and protocols. The news burst out after five Indian players including senior opener Rohit Sharma were put under precautionary isolation due to a possible breach of the bio-secure bubble on Friday.



According to the reports from the close sources to the team, players have come to Australia after hard quarantine protocols for days in Dubai and the players are reluctant to follow that again in Brisbane?s Gaba.



It is over a month now and the players are not willing to travel to Brisbane as they would have to go through the same hard protocols of-days quarantine at the end of the tour.



<h2>Team India refused to travel to Brisbane:</h2>



??If you look at it, we were quarantining for 14 days in Dubai before landing in Sydney and doing so for another 14 days. That means we were in a hard bubble for nearly a month before coming out. What we don?t want now is to quarantine again at the end of the tour,? a source in the Indian team told Cricbuzz.



The source also told that the team is ready to play two games in a single venue or city- in that case, it means Sydney Cricket Ground.



?The whole squad are not willing to move to Brisbane for the fourth test if it means locking themselves to a hotel room again except for going to the ground. Instead, we will be happy to be in some other city, playing two tests at the same ground will be okay for us and returning home after series completion,? the source added.

Right now the series is leveled at 1-1 with two more games to go. India made a strong turnaround after embarrassing bundle at 36 in the first game.

Australia vs India: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in talks with Cricket Australia for quarantine relaxation for the fourth test. BCCI as reported on Thursday wrote to CA for some ease in the strict quarantine protocols for the Brisbane Test, as the players have undergone strict isolation before the series.



As per the reports, BCCI has written to the Cricket Australia head Earl Eddings on Thursday. BCCI top executives pointed out the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both the boards before the start of the tour. There were no specifications in the MoU about the two strict quarantine in the two cities.



The fourth and last test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy will begin from 15th January and according to strict protocols, the player will have to be inside the hotel room after the play of the day.



?The discussions are still on but today BCCI has formally sent a letter seeking relaxation of hard quarantine for its players if they are to have the match in Brisbane,? a senior BCCI official told PTI.



?Both the boards had earlier signed the Memorandum of Understanding and it never specified any such modalities about the strict protocols. We have already done one strict quarantine in Sydney (practice and then back to the hotel room),? he added.



<h2>What Indian player's want from Cricket Australia?</h2>



BCCI also mentioned what they and their players needed with Cricket Australia. What are the grievances BCCI wants CA to improve?



?The demands from our side are simple and do not need any such complications. The players want to be together inside the hotel room just like we did in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Everyone wants to have their meals together and want to have a team meeting together. That?s pretty simple, that?s not a big demand,? BCCI official informed.



As per the rules of Cricket Australia, players can meet each other outside their rooms but only those are allowed who are residing on the same floor. Players from two different floors are restricted to mingle, which seems ridiculous to many players.



?The Indian board has asked CA to give the relaxation permission in writing. During India?s quarantine in Sydney, there were some cops who used to keep an eye if there is a breach in the bio-secure bubble protocols.?

The news agency PTI earlier said that the pace spearhead is completely ruled out of the fourth test match due to abdomen strain, however, batting coach on Thursday clarified that the final call will be taken on the match's morning.



"The injuries are still being monitored. Our medical staff is looking into it, I would not be in a position to comment on this right now," said Rathour.



The list of the injuries in Indian camp has grown day by day, with the recent inclusion being Hanuma Vihari and Mayank Agarwal.



The spin head, Ravichandran Ashwin is dealing with the stiff back and his participation is still on doubt.



While the batting coach showed faith in the bench strength India have and backed all the players and said India will come up with the best possible playing XI in the last test match.



?We have still a good bench strength, we will go with the best possible field tomorrow and I know if they are selected then they have something on them.?



"All of them deserve to be there. If they play to their potential, I cannot see any reason why we cannot do well," he added.

Indian management was seen handing the test caps to T Natarajan and Washington Sundar who were about to make their first test appearance. The tensions between Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir are increasing day by day as the duo were involved in a massive argument. As per the reports in Dainik Jagran, it is learned that both weren't on the same page related to the selection for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 
The India squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 was announced on Saturday (18th January). The press conference of the skipper Rohit Sharma and selector Ajit Agarkar was scheduled to take place at 12:30 PM IST, but it took place two and a half hours later than the scheduled time as the media was asked to wait. 
However, it was revealed, as per the reports in Dainik Jagran, that the reason behind the delay was there was an argument between Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar over some of the players. The major talking point was the vice-captain of the team. 
Both Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar wanted Shubman Gill as the vice-captain while Gautam Gambhir wanted to give vice-captaincy to Hardik Pandya. However, the coach and captain were adamant about making Gill deputy, and hence, the decision was taken in favour of Gill. 
The other argument they had was between Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson. Gautam Gambhir was in favour of the latter while Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar wanted Rishabh Pant. They didn't listen to the coach, and hence, both Gill and Pant were picked in their roles on demand of skipper and selector. 
Apart from these selections, what was the surprise was India named just three pacers in the team. Mohammed Siraj was dropped while they went in with four seamers: Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav, who will be the wrist spinner.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl under overcast conditions, India delivered a stellar all-round performance. Joshitha VJ set the tone with a fiery opening spell, trapping West Indies skipper Samara Ramnath LBW in her second over. She followed it up with a second wicket off the next delivery, dismissing Naijanni Cumberbatch for a duck. The spin duo of Aayushi Shukla and Parunika Sisodia then tightened the noose. Shukla claimed two wickets, while Sisodia finished with an impressive three-wicket haul.

Indian fielders added to the Windies' misery, executing three run-outs to clean up the tail. Apart from Asabi Callender and Kenika Cassar, no other batter offered significant resistance as the West Indies were bowled out for 44.

Chasing 45, India lost opener G Trisha on the second ball of the innings. However, Kamalini G and Sanika Chalke stabilized the innings, guiding India home in just 4.2 overs. With dark clouds looming and rain threatening, they raced against the weather and secured victory just as the rain began to fall.
