The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed the hectic schedule of Team India for the Year 2021. The COVID-19 interruption has forced BCCI to take such strenuous steps for the men in Blues. BCCI made it clear that it will honor all the canceled series and fixtures due to the pandemic. In 2021 India team is playing non stop cricket at least 10 different cricket events and tournaments: England Tour Of India, India Tour of Sri Lanka, Asia Cup 2021, India Tour of Zimbabwe, India tour to England ,South Africa tour in India, T20 World Cup 2021, New Zealand tour of India and India tour of South Africa.



<h2>Team India Cricket schedule in the year 2021:</h2>



Team India will play 7 series in the next 12 months of year 2021 after the tour of Australia 2020-21 keeping aside the Aisa Cup, Indian Premier League, and T20 World Cup 2021.

Virat Kohli and Co. will play 12 months in a year 2021 to complete all the commitments made by the BCCI. However, the board admits, there will be a workload and playing all months is not easy.&nbsp;This is what BCCI said.



?We are aware of the workload on the players. BCCI is obligated to honor the pending commitments. We have enough talent on the bench and will make sure enough rest is given to the players ahead of any series. The rotation policy will surely play its part in the next 12&nbsp; months.?

Asia Cup 2021: As India march towards the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2021, BCCI is likely to send the second-string Indian side in the forthcoming Asia Cup 2021. The Asia Cup 2020 was cancelled due to the ranging pandemic across the globe.



India will be facing New Zealand in the inaugural season of the ICC World Test Championship. The venue for the final is not decided yet. Earlier, the home of cricket ?Lords? was scheduled for the game however according to some reports, ICC is looking to shift the venue.



According to the sources close to ICC, Southampton might be chosen as the venue because of its lodging facilities inside the stadium premises.



The Asia Cup usually begins in the month of June-July, where all the Asia team come together to fight for the trophy.



India has a packed summer ahead, which begins with the IPL followed by the WTC against New Zealand. India will not fly back home and play a series against England post which India will host South Africa and New Zealand for the white ball fixtures. Then comes the ICC T20 World Cup.



Amidst all these fixtures, BCCI is left with only two options. Either send a second-string Indian team to the Asia Cup or pull back from the tournament.



It is highly unlikely that BCCI will pull back from the tournament, the possibilities to send a second-string Indian team is very high.



Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and BCCI are looking into the matter and it is reported that this time Asia Cup might be held in Sri Lanka.&nbsp;



"There's no other choice. We can't risk the preparation for the series in England. And cricketers can't twice undergo quarantine. If the Asia Cup happens, India will have no option but to send a second-string squad," top sources confirmed as per a report in TOI.

Asia Cup 2021 cancelled due to prevailing covid situation in Sri Lanka.



The 2021 Asia Cup has been called off by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Wednesday due to the worsening covid situation in the Island nation. The tournament between the Asian Cricket Playing nations was scheduled to be held in June this year. The top organiser from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) informed about the recent development.



The competition had already been held over from last year in Pakistan due to the global pandemic in the region.



?Due to the prevailing situation, it will not be possible to play the tournament in June this year,? De Silva said as quoted by The Hindu.



The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will soon make an official announcement regarding the same.

The covid cases in Sri Lanka in the last few weeks are on the constant rise. Many nations have banned flights from Sri Lanka and in this worsening situation, India's tour to Sri Lanka is also under the scanner.



On Wednesday, the Sri Lankan government called a ten days ban on the travelers coming into the country with flights.



Ashley de Silva, chief executive of Sri Lanka Cricket proclaimed that the tournament might be called off until the 2023 World Cup due to the pre-scheduled plans and schedules of the countries for the next two years.



The Sri Lankan Cricket team is currently in Bangladesh for a three games One Day International series. The first ODI between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is scheduled for 23rd May.

Asia Cup 2021: The 2021 editions Asia Cup has been officially cancelled and will now be held in the year 2023 due to the packed international calendar of the countries. Earlier, a top official of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) informed the development due to the rising covid situation in the island nation while the official confirmation came today.



The competition between the cricket playing nations of Asia moved from Pakistan to Sri Lanka but it was finally cancelled after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) found it difficult to schedule the high profile games during the harsh situations.



This year?s Asia Cup will now be rescheduled in 2023 due to packed international fixtures of four Asian Cricket giants.

?The Board has accordingly considered the matter very carefully and determined that the only way ahead would be to postpone the event.



?It would therefore only be feasible for this edition of the tournament to be held in 2023 as there is already an Asia Cup in 2022. Dates for the same will be confirmed in due course,? the ACC said in the statement.



The last Asia Cup was hosted by UAE back in 2018, which was won by India. The 2021 edition of the tournament would have been in T20 format however due to the prevailing situation in Asia, the tournament had to be cancelled.



?The ACC Executive Board, in face of the risks and restrictions posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, had made the difficult decision to postpone the Asia Cup 2020 to 2021. Since then, the ACC has been working with its participants and stakeholders to try and ensure that the event is held in the year.



?However, on account of a packed FTP, it has been concluded that there is no practical window in the year when all the teams would be available to participate,? the ACC said in its statement.
