Australia vs India 3rd Test Match: Star opener David Warner is all set to make his return in the third test against India after missing the first two. Young Will Pucovski has also recovered well and is named in the 18 men squad for the 3rd Test match.



Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday announced the strong 18-men squad for the Sydney Test. The game will begin on 07th January.



Warner who suffered a groin injury during the ODI series against India is now fit for the test games. He has been included in the squad while opener Joe Burns has been dropped by the selectors after his demonstration of his poor touch.



Burns who was the first-choice opener along with David Warner has not come out harder. Burns?s poor show in the Melbourne Test dropped him from the squad. The second test recorded a duck and a four from his bat.



Will Pucovski who was concussed during the practice game against India A is also recovered and called for the third test. Pucovski as reported recovered from his ninth concussion and Cricket Australia is taking protective steps for him.

<h2>Burns will return to Brisbane Heat:</h2>



?Opener Joe Burns has been excluded from the side for the third test and will return to Brisbane Heat for the Big Bash League Tournament,? selector Trevor Hohns said in a media release.



?Unfortunately we haven?t witnessed what we expected and what he is capable of in the recent games against India,? Hohns commenting on Joe Burns?s performance.



National selector Hohns told that David Warner will receive every bit of chance to be a part of the final eleven for the Sydney Test. He has made commendable progress to his injury.



?Pucovski is also fine now, he has been in the final stages of return to play protocols and has been asymptomatic for the past few days,? he added.



?He will be fit to play in Sydney subject to completing the return to play protocols and an independent assessment.?



Sean Abbott who sustained a calf niggle is also called for the third Sydney Test against India.

India vs England: England pacers are dying to use Pink Ball says Mark Wood.



India vs England: Mark Wood who is recently added to the test side for the last two test games against India on Friday has said that England pacers are dying to use the pink ball. Both England and India will play their third game at Motera Stadium which will be a Day/Night fixture. This will also embark the opening match of the stadium in an International format.



The four-game test series is levelled at 1-1 and the third game will begin on 24th February.



Test games under the lights always assist the seamers and England will be happy to use their pacers on the track. The last time India played their Day/Night test at Eden Gardens, the seamers picked all 20 wickets in the game against Bangladesh.



"We've been bowling with them in the nets -- they have swung quite a bit and they've lasted longer, which was interesting to see," Wood told a conference call.



"With the ball, as soon as it moves, every one of the bowlers from the past couple of months is dying to get it in their hand."



England bowlers have the ability to use the pink ball to its fullest and exploit the conditions. Even if Mark Wood does not get a chance to play the game, the visitors have plenty of options to use.



James Anderson who didn?t play the second game will certainly return in the third test match and he can swing the ball easily. Along with Anderson, Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer can also swing the ball under the lights.



"As soon as the ball moves we know how good our seam bowlers can be," said Wood.



"We've got good depth there, good skills and two of the best ever (Anderson and Broad)," added the 31-year-old Durham quick.

Mark Wood also explained the reason behind his last-minute withdraw from IPL 2021 Auction.



Wood has played just 18 test games in his six years long test career till now. He has sustained an ankle injury which restricted him to play more.&nbsp;



Wood said, he wants to spend time with his family and it was a hard decision for him. He said the money IPL gives can be life-changing for anyone.



Six weeks IPL and two more week on top of that due to quarantine and all of that stuff, I can spend quality time with my family. Wood also want to focus on England?s national fixtures and make himself more consistent and prominent in bowling.

India vs England 3rd Test: Senior pacer Umesh Yadav has been added to the Indian squad for the last two test matches against England. Yadav on Sunday appeared for the fitness test at the newly refurbished Motera Stadium and cleared it following which the pacer was included in the squad.



His replacement Shardul Thakur was released from the test team earlier to play the ongoing domestic 50 over tournament (Vijay Hazare Trophy) for his home team. Thakur was drafted on to the side in the Australian tour where he performed tremendously in the penultimate test.



On the same tour, seamer Umesh Yadav sustained a calf muscle injury due to which he was ruled out of the whole tour.



India and England will play their penultimate test which will be the pink ball test starting on 24th February. The event will be hosted in Motera Stadium.

The young seamer from Jammu &amp; Kashmir came into the limelight for the first time in IPL 2021, where he got a chance to feature in three matches for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The Jammu &amp; Kashmir seamer became famous because of his ability to bowl at speeds of 150+ but in the last two IPL seasons, his speed wasn't discussed much. He knows how to bowl fast, but he lacks the ability to swing the ball. 
In such a situation, he had to bowl mostly in the overs after the end of the Powerplay, where he was thrashed a lot by the opposition batters. His line &amp; length were also not correct and the batters were able to go after him easily. In IPL 2023, the 25-year-old conceded runs at an economy rate of 10.85 and those numbers became even more worse in the following season, as he had an economy rate of 15 to his name.

The 25-year-old Umran Malik, who hails from Gujjar Nagar in Jammu, has participated in 10 One-Day International matches and eight T20 International games for Team India. He has dismissed 13 players in ODIs and 11 batters in T20 Internationals. 
He played his last match for the Men in Blue versus the West Indies in July of 2023. Talking about his IPL career, he has 29 scalps to his name in 26 matches. The 25-year-old is likely to be fit for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he will be playing for defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). India has faced a massive injury scare ahead of the second IND vs ENG T20I. As per the reports in Indian Express, it is learned that opening batter Abhishek Sharma hurt himself during the training session and there isn't any clarification if he will be fit for the next match of the series or not. 
Abhishek Sharma twisted his ankle during the training session and he looked in immense pain. The reports claimed that the batter is doubtful for the second match and if he gets ruled out, it will be a massive blow for the team as they will be without their key batter for the second IND vs ENG T20I. 
If Abhishek Sharma gets ruled out, then it creates a lot of headaches for the team as to who will open the innings because they have no other opener available on the bench. Hence, it might make team management to make someone from the middle bat at the top along with Sanju Samson.

Washington Sundar 
If Abhishek Sharma gets ruled out of second IND vs ENG T20I, then there are chances that the team might bring in Washington Sundar in the XI. Not only might they bring him into the XI, but they also might make him open. Gautam Gambhir rates the all-rounder very highly and he will be handy on the Chennai pitch as well.

After the enthralling first game, the second IND vs ENG T20I is all set to take place on Saturday (25th January). The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and with the way things panned out in the opening match, the game promises to be an enthralling match. 
One of the talking points of the last match was Mohammed Shami. The fast bowler, who was added to the team to make a comeback after a long injury, missed the first game. There was no official confirmation why he didn't play but several reports claimed that he wasn't 100% fit. 
Mohammed Shami still has heavy strapping on his knee but is bowling at full throttle in the nets. Even though he has knees tied, he doesn't need any physio attention. The reports claimed that the pacer faved discomfort while climbing the stairs and hence wasn't rushed for the first game. 
This now raises speculation if Mohammed Shami will be fit for the second IND vs ENG T20I or not. There were reports in RevSportz recently which claimed that the fast bowler would be missing two more games in the series before making a comeback for the team after more than a year.

The fast bowler is expected to make a return in the fourth game and also has been named in the team for the three-match ODI series against England ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. 
<h2>India won the first T20I by 7 wickets </h2>
Coming to the first game, India started the five-match T20I series against England on a dominating note. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side defeated the opposition by seven wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday. 
Asked to bat, England had a poor start with the bat as they lost both the openers, thanks to the brilliance of Arshdeep Singh. Captain Jos Buttler (68) kept his team in the hunt and was the lone warrior for his team 
India kept taking wickets at regular intervals, with Varun Chakravarthy being the the pick of the bowlers with his figure of three for 23. His sensational spell helped India bundle out England for 132. 
Chasing the target, Sanju Samson (26) and Abhishek Sharma (79) took India off to a flying start, adding 41 runs for the opening partnership. While Samson and Suryakumar Yadav fell early, Sharma slammed a blistering half-century and took his team to the seven-wicket win.
