Surya Kumar Yadav to lead Mumbai in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021: The exuberant Mumbai batsman Surya Kumar Yadav to lead Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. Yadav has been one of the prominent faces in Mumbai domestic season as well as in IPL with Mumbai Indians.

However, Arjun Tendulkar son of cricket God Sachin Tendulkar failed to see his name in the 20 members list of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Mumbai Indians. It is learned that Arjun has not performed well in the practice games and went for plenty of runs.

This will be a perfect opportunity for Surya Kumar to knock on the doors of national selectors once again. Yadav who has not got his maiden national call-up will be excited to smash the bowlers to make his stance more solid in front of selectors.

Mumbai Cricket Association shared the information about the 20 member squad on its website earlier on Saturday.

Apart from Surya Kumar Mumbai regulars Aditya Tare, Sarfaraz Khan, all-rounder Shivam Dube and Siddesh Lad are also in the squad.

The young U19 batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is also among the 20 members for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Jaiswal could not capitalize on his chances given by Rajasthan Royals, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 will be the perfect opportunity to gain confidence and win selectors heart.

The pace attack will be led by Tushar Deshpande and Dhawal Kulkarni along with spinners Atharva Ankolekar and Shams Mulani.

The center has asked all the players to undergo an RT-PCR test for Covid-19 and carry a negative report of the same before heading to the Wankhede Stadium on December 29th.

The domestic season will kick off with Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 that will begin on 10th January.
