SAvsIND 3rd ODI Dream11: Following the loss of three matches test series, team India were foreseen to at least win a three-game ODI series against South Africa, however, India failed to clinch either of the series on South African soil. The Protea has clinched the three matches ODI series by thrashing team India in two opening games.

KL Rahul’s captaincy once again came amidst criticism after he failed to take India over the winning line in the two ODI games. KL Rahul, who is seen as the future of team India, was appointed India’s ODI vice-captain, however, due to Rohit Sharma’s injury, he was recently elevated to the role of captaincy for the South Africa series.

South African batters have been brilliant throughout the India series. Their middle order has performed in the hour of need and they have time and again are proving their batting prowess. 

However, India’s middle-order has come under scrutiny following the debacle in the two opening matches. Shreyas Iyer couldn’t perform well while Venkatesh Iyer, who is deemed a replacement of Hardik Pandya, hasn’t been able to deliver what’s expected from him.

It will be interesting to see if KL Rahul forces any change in the playing11 for the 3rd ODI against South Africa. Team India will be up to prevent a clean whitewash against South Africa in Newlands, Cape Town.

The surface in Cape Town is going to behave similar to Boland Park. There will be slowness in the pitch which will assist the spinners, predominantly at the second innings. The pacers will see some help in the initial overs while it will become easier to bat as the match progresses. The team winning the toss will look to have a bat first.
