Royal Challengers Bangalore: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is keeping everyone on its toes. The kind of competition that is going on has given a massive headache to all the teams and has forced them to bring their best out. So far there’s no certainty about who will make it into the playoffs. The difference between the teams is very less as 5 teams are struck on 10 points and 2 are on 8.

Things have changed drastically for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)  in the ongoing IPL 2023. After the first half of the tournament, they were one of the favorites to qualify for the playoffs. But in the second half, they have tumbled and qualification now looks like an uphill task for them.

In the 11 games, they have managed just 10 points and are currently 7th on the points table. With four teams struck on the 10 points, RCB now needs a gigantic effort from their end to ensure themselves a spot in the playoffs. They suffered a thrashing loss at the hands of Mumbai Indians, which dented their chances.

The loss against MI reduced RCB’s chances of playoffs from 51% to 23%. But they are not completely out of contention as they still hold a chance. RCB now needs to win all their remaining three games and if they face a loss now, they would be virtually out of contention for the playoffs.

The three wins will take them to 16 points. Not only do they need to win three games, they need to win them by a big margin because it’s certain that NRR might come into contention. Therefore they need to make sure that they win big to remain in contention.
