The post has sparked conjecture over whether it is a last nod to his time playing in Australia or a more general hint to the next stage of his career.

Rohit-Kohli's magic was seen in Sydney.

In the last ODI match played in Sydney, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli led the team to victory with their strong performance. Australia batted first and scored 236 runs in 46.4 overs. In reply, Rohit Sharma scored a century and Kohli played a half-century inning. These two batsmen made a partnership of 168 runs for the second wicket, on the basis of which India won the match by scoring 237 runs for one wicket in 38.3 overs. However, Australia won this three-match series 2-1.

Rohit is not sure about coming to Australia again.

After the match, Rohit and Kohli had a special conversation with Adam Gilchrist and Ravi Shastri. Rohit said, "It is always a pleasure to come to Australia and play here. My memories of 2008 are still fresh. I don't know whether we will come back to Australia or not. No matter how many achievements we achieve, we enjoy our cricket. We had a new beginning in Perth."
