RCB rope in star Zimbabwe pacer as replacement of Lungi Ngidi for IPL 2025 playoffs
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have made a massive addition to their squad for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The franchise has roped in Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi, who will get back home after 26th May.
South Africa National Cricket Team pacer Lungi Ngidi will be heading back home to join his team for the ICC World Test Championship. The fast bowler will be leaving the franchise on 26th May, and hence, RCB was forced to announce the replacement of the fast bowler.
Lungi Ngidi didn't get much opportunity to play for RCB in the IPL 2025. He played one game and made a decent contribution to the team. The fast bowler picked three wickets in that game and played because of the absence of Josh Hazlewood, who missed the match due to injury.
On the other hand, Blessing Muzarabani has been decent in the T20s that he has played. The fast bowler has bagged 78 wickets from 70 T20Is. The pacer has also represented Zimbabwe in 12 Tests and 55 ODIs. He will join RCB for INR 75 Lakh.
