2. Nicholas Pooran
West Indies Skipper finds a second place in this list. Nicholas Pooran has been one of the most consistent run scorers for his side in the recent past and has proved to be the backbone of the West Indian batting lineup.
The left-hander has always managed to counter the opposition bowlers and stabilise the innings with wonderful shots under tough circumstances. Pooran has 553 runs in 17 T20I innings for West Indies so far in 2022 with a good strike rate of 135.7.

1. Babar Azam
The top position in this list belongs to Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam. Babar has been one of the most impressive and dominant batsmen in the world in recent times across all formats. However, it’s mostly in the white ball cricket where he has had a more significant role to play for his side.
The 28-year-old has scored a fantastic half-century in the only T20I match that he’s played so far this year against Australia. However, the proof of his being in great touch in T20Is was clear with his performances in 2021, when he scored over 550 runs in 23 T20I innings.
Babar will surely be looking to continue his great form with the bat in the upcoming major ICC tournament, the T20 world cup too. No doubt he will be the player to watch out for in the tournament this year and might be the top run-getter for sure.
