Latest reports from Dainik Jagran senior reporter Abhishek Tripathi have revealed that Nitish Kumar Reddy, the Indian all-rounder, has been ruled out of participation in the first three T20I matches of the AUS vs IND T20I series.

India has begun their T20I campaign at Canberra as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side has lost the toss and the Aussies have asked them to bat first. The Indian side has once again snubbed their seasoned pacer Arshdeep Singh and have named Harshit Rana after his dominating show in the ODI series.

Nitish Kumar Reddy snubbed from the First Three T20s

The Indian contingent has suffered another major blow, with all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy revealed to be ruled out of the first three matches of the T20 series. He injured his quadriceps during the ODIs and was ruled out of the final game at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The all-rounder was a replacement for Hardik Pandya, who also got a similar injury during the Asia Cup. After recovering from his quadriceps injury, the all-rounder Reddy has now reported some neck spasms, which have impacted his recovery further, as reported by Abhishek Tripathi.

The BCCI medical team is monitoring him, and an official report is awaited over the same.

NO Rinku Singh! NO Arshdeep Singh as India takes on Australia at Canberra

Gautam Gambhir has once again cited the importance of all-round cricketers over specialist batters and bowlers. He has snubbed Rinku Singh of a spot in the playing XI, despite his commanding show in the Ranji Trophy opening round.

He has further picked Harshit Rana at no. 8 to provide some batting depth to the Indian side. Arshdeep Singh, the highest wicket-taker for India in T20s, has not been handed a place in the XI. India is playing with two pacers, Rana and Jasprit Bumrah. Shivam Dube will be India's third seamer in Nitish Reddy's absence.
