The star US bowler Ali Khan, who already said USA will shock the World in the T20 World Cup, has expressed his confidence for the next matches of United States in ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Speedster Ali Khan made a bold statement about how the USA team is prepared to dominate any opponent following their series win over Bangladesh. Originally from Attock, Pakistan, Khan moved to Ohio in his late teens and didn’t pick up a cricket ball until he joined a casual practice session for an amateur league in the state.
Khan set a precedent for players from associate nations to secure international contracts and significantly weakened Pakistan’s batting lineup by dismissing the formidable Fakhar Zaman for 11. He conceded just 30 runs in his 4 overs, maintaining consistent pressure on the Pakistani batsmen throughout their innings.
ALI Khan on USA’s next Fixtures
After his second match, Ali Khan said a couple of words about USA’s future plans to CRICBUZZ. They quoted “Great win for us against a great side Pakistan. We’ve been waiting for this stage for a long time and we’ve been trying to grab this opportunity with both hands.”
“I don’t think the job is done yet as our job is to qualify for the Super 8. So the team is really confident, we’re gonna keep this momentum and hopefully get a win against India and Ireland,” Ali Khan added
USA are set to face India on 12th June at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. The pitches here are on the slower side which will pose some real challenges to USA. India are on the best of their forms and they will test the character of USA in the 25th match of the tournament.
