List of players to withdraw from PSL 2026

As the buzz for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is high, a slight focus has been placed on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 as well. The tournament is all set to begin on March 26 and will see two new teams making their debut in the league.

Hyderabad Kingsmen and RawalPINDIZ are the two teams which will be playing in PSL 2026. The league this year has transformed as it moved from draft to auction. But the league has faced quite a few challenges even though it is yet to start. 

The PSL 2026 will be played behind closed doors due to the West Asia conflict and also the PCB's idea to host games in six cities has been cancelled. The PSL 2026 will be played now only in the Lahore and Karachi tournaments.

Not only this, but PCB also has to deal with players pulling out of the league. Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani and Sri Lanka’s Dasun Shanaka confirmed their departure from the PSL and will be playing in the IPL. 

Gudakesh Motie, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Ottneil Baartman, and Spencer Johnson are among those who have withdrawn. The franchises are also seeking replacements, but Mohsin Naqvi warned the foreign players about their actions.

He stated that PCB will take legal action, citing an example of South Africa’s Corbin Bosch, who left PSL to play for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 and was banned for one year from PSL.
