IPL 2026: No Indian player features in the list of players with a base price of INR 1.5 crore in the auction revealed
IPL 2026 will see 350 players going under hammer.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction for the third straight year will be taking place outside India. The event will happen in Abu Dhabi on December 16 and it is expected to be a blockbuster clash with some of the big names all set to go under the hammer.
A total of 1390 players had registered for the IPL 2026 auction and after the shortlisting the names, only 350 players were selected. Out of this tally, a total of 240 Indians (224 uncapped players) are there, while 110 overseas players are there, which includes 14 uncapped players.
A total of 77 slots will be filled in the IPL 2026 auction as teams can fill a maximum of 25 players. Some of the big names in Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, Steve Smith and others will be going under the hammer.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be entering the IPL 2026 auction with the highest purse at INR 64.3 crore with room for 13 signings, including six overseas players. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are next on the list with INR 43.4 crore in the purse.

Only eight players have registered themselves in the bracket of INR 1.5 crore. Surprisingly no Indian player is in this bracket.
