Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) kept themselves in the hunt after their staggering 100+ runs win over the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Not only do they move up the table but they also boosted their NRR, which might prove to be handy for them as the four spots for the playoffs fill up.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently placed 5th on the points table with 6 wins and 6 losses from 12 games. They have two games remaining and they are one of the hot favourites to qualify for the playoffs now after their win over RR. But it won’t be an easy entry as they would be dependent on other teams as well.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore to qualify, they first need to win their remaining two games against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. If they manage to win both their games, they will reach 16 points, which can well be enough to qualify.
But considering three more teams can reach 16 points, it’ll be sort of pressure of RCB. Therefore they need to make sure that they win their last two games by a big margin so that even if they get tied on 16 points with other teams, they can pip other teams based on NRR.
On the other hand, if they don’t want NRR to come their way, they would want either of Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, or Lucknow Super Giants to lose at least one of their two remaining games. If that happens they can easily then qualify for the playoffs.
