A solid win has once again put Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the driver’s seat. RCB is now placed fourth in the points table with 16 points from their 14 league stage matches. Even after the win, RCB doesn’t have its fate in its hands.

Delhi Capitals is placed fifth in the points table and has one match left which they will play against bottom-placed Mumbai Indians. If Delhi manages to secure a victory against Mumbai Indians, they will pip RCB and straightaway qualify for the playoffs due to its superior net run rate, however, if the fixture between MI and DC goes other way around then Delhi will be eliminated from the tournament.

Notably, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings are also knocked out of the playoff race along with Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
