India vs England: India’s Test squad for the 3rd and 4th test against England at Ahmedabad.

India vs England: BCCI on Wednesday announced India’s test squad for the 3rd and 4th test against England. The third and fourth test will be held at Gujrat’s newly refurbished Motera Stadium.

As per the schedule, the third test will be pink ball test (D/N) from 24th February to 28th February while the last test will be from 04 to 08th Match. Both the games will be at Moetra Stadium.

Shardul Thakur and Shahbaz Nadeem both have been dropped from the side. The former will take part in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy while Nadeem is also dropped from the standby list.

BCCI confirmed that the senior pacer Mohammad Shami is still not 100 per cent fit for the longest format and will need few more weeks to recover, so he is not picked in the squad for the last two test games.

While Umesh Yadav will join the squad later at Ahmedabad after his fitness assessment, he will replace Shadrul Thakur in the squad.

Squad: Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Md. Siraj.

The selectors have also picked five bowlers for nets while two bowlers are on the standby list.

Net Bowlers: Ankit Rajpoot, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Warrier, Krishnappa Gowtham, Saurabh Kumar.
