India v Australia 5th T20i: Will Sanju Samson and Harshit Rana Return in Place of Jitesh & Bumrah? Bumrah to be rested? India's Strongest XI

Team India has taken an unassailable 2-1 lead in the BKT Tyres five-match T20 series against Australia. On Saturday, India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will play the fifth and final match in Brisbane. The 2024 T20 World Cup winners will aim to win this match and win the series 3-1, while the Aussies will look to draw the series.
Will Sanju get a chance? All eyes will be on vice-captain Gill
Team India may make some changes in this match. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson's return is almost certain. He could replace Jitesh Sharma, who scored 22* and 3 runs respectively in the last two matches. Most eyes will be on the batting of Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav in this match, while Australia will be looking to counter India's spin challenge ahead of next year's T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
The Indian team displayed superior strategic acumen in the previous match, and the batsmen coordinated well on the difficult Carrara pitch. Gill gave the team a strong start, putting India in a strong position with a score of 121 for 2 in 14 overs. However, the team then lost four wickets for 15 runs.
Vice-captain Gill has not scored a half-century in seven innings, but he showed signs of returning to form with a knock of 46 in the last match. Suryakumar has put in some impressive performances in the series, but has struggled to convert his starts into big scores. The captain will be expected to lead by example by batting with more freedom ahead of next month's series against South Africa.
Tilak Verma has
also struggled to find his rhythm in this series, scoring 0, 29, and 5 in his last three matches. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma will also be under pressure, having failed to make much of an impact in the last two matches after being preferred over the experienced Sanju Samson.
Abhishek Sharma, living up to his reputation as the world's leading T20 batsman, scored a quickfire half-century, giving the team another aggressive start. India's lower order has also been effective. Axar Patel scored an unbeaten 21 off 11 balls in the last match. The presence of all-rounders at number seven and eight has strengthened the team.
Varun, Axar and Sundar overpowered Australia
Arshdeep Singh once again proved his worth for India in bowling, he took four wickets and formed an effective new ball pair with Jasprit Bumrah. Despite the absence of Kuldeep Yadav, the spin trio of Varun, Axar and Washington has been a big strength for India.
The duo of Shivam Dube and Washington both played a crucial role with bat and ball. Dubey's innings of 49 runs in 23 balls turned the third T20 in India's favour, while in the fourth match, Washington's three wickets for three runs helped India finish the match quickly. Dubey also scored 18 runs in 22 balls and took two wickets in this match.
Australia's weaknesses were once again exposed against the best spin bowlers in the last T20I , aiming to level the series
The spin-bowling trio of Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar combined to take six wickets in less than 10 overs at the Carrara Oval stadium in the previous contest. The team's batting has relied heavily on captain Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, and Tim David. Travis Head's absence was deeply felt in the previous match, as the team lost by 48 runs while chasing a modest target of 168. All-rounder Matthew Short missed an opportunity to impress at the top of the order due to Head's absence. He will be eager to make amends on Saturday.
The home team's bowling attack has lacked sharpness since Josh Hazlewood's withdrawal from the series. Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa have shouldered most of the responsibility, but Ben Dwarshis went wicketless in the fourth T20I. The hosts may consider giving Mahli Beardman a debut in the final match.
The strongest playing 11 for Indian Team is as follows:
Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Axar Patel, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah / Harshit Rana, Shivam Dube, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar.
