IND vs WI: India and West Indies are squaring off with each other in the ODI series. The focus now moves towards the second game, which will be played on Saturday (29th July) at the same venue.
IND vs WI: India Playing 11 for the second ODI against West Indies Prediction
IND vs WI: Skipper Rohit Sharma mentioned that they will be trying out a few things in the series so that they have all the answers going into the ICC World Cup 2023. They did quite a few experiments with the batting order in the first game and it is expected that they will do some changes in the second game as well.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are likely to retain their place in the team along with Virat Kohli. Gill didn’t have a good outing in the first game and would be wanting to get some runs under his belt. The skipper on the other hand came to bat at No.7 while Kohli didn’t get a chance to bat.
Ishan Kishan, who was promoted to open the innings, smashed a magnificent half-century but it is expected that he might rest in the next game as the team would want to test Sanju Samson as well. The keeper’s spot in the team will be a headache for the team in World Cup and therefore they would want to test Samson as well.
Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t done justice to his place in the ODIs as he hasn’t quite fired in this fired as he did in T20Is. But it is expected that he might get a chance again as he can be the X factor that India might need in the World Cup. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja no doubt will play the next game.
But there might be some changes in the bowling department as instead of Kuldeep Yadav India might try Yuzvendra Chahal whereas Jaydev Unadkat can also come into the team in place of Shardul Thakur. Mukesh Kumar and Umran Malik are likely to retain their place.
