In running ODIs KL Rahul stepped out as a captain on Wednesday but he has marked his achievement on the field. This right-hand batsman is playing his 39th ODI and leading the team. It only makes him the 2nd Indian who side captain before the 50th making an appearance in the current format. It is truly incidental to say that KL Rahul is the captain of the Punjab Kings IPL team for consecutive two seasons. But he never got the opportunity to lead Karnataka in List A match which is even his domestic side. Still, he became the 3rd Indian who got the opportunity to show captaincy in an international match without any experience of a leadership role in domestic List A matches.  Virender Sehwag and Syed Kirmani were the other two players who were on the same feat earlier to K L Rahul.
