ICC T20I Player Rankings: The International Cricket Council has released the latest updated T20I player rankings and Surya Kumar Yadav strengthened his number 1 Rank in the T20Is. However, there are only two Indian players in the top 10 batting, bowling, and all-rounder rankings. The domination of India in T20I Cricket in the recent past has been top-notch. India lost the ODI World Cup final yet ended up runner-up in the ODI CWC. Just following the ODI World Cup 2023, India and Australia were scheduled to play a three-match T20I series and India have won the series 2-0 after two matches.
The first T20I saw a neck-to-neck competition where Australia batted brutally and put India on the back right at the beginning of the chase. However, India won the match with a brilliant 80 of just 42 balls by skipper Surya Kumar Yadav.
The second T20I was totally one-sided right from the start of the match. India batted beautifully and posted a huge total of over 230+ and successfully defended it with a big margin. This second win has won India their first series on the road to T20I World Cup 2024.
In the latest ICC T20I player rankings, Surya Kumar Yadav successfully secured his Number 1 T20I ranked batter spot and now tops the board by the lead of 76 rating points to the second-ranked batsman Mohammed Rizwan.
Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan holds the second rank with 787 rating points. He has had a really good T20I season back this year and is the top run scorer for Pakistan in the shortest format this year. Aiden Markram is at 3 who is followed by another Pakistani batsman- the former skipper Babar Azam. Babar Azam sits 4th with a rating of 734.
Rashid Khan tops the bowler’s chart. Rashid is the number one ranked T20I bowler currently with a rating of 692. He is followed by Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka with a rating of 679. The top 4 of the ICC bowler’s rankings are acquired by spin bowlers and Josh Hazlewood is the only fast bowler in the top 5.
Shakib-al-Hasan is still, by far, the number 1 T20I All-rounder in the latest T20I player rankings. Hardik Pandya is the second-ranked T20I all-rounder with a rating of 226. Aiden Markram of South Africa is at 4 in the top T20I all-rounders rankings.
