ICC T20 Team Rankings: West Indies have left the T20 world ablaze after whitewashing South Africa in the Three-match T20I series just on the doorstep of the T20 World Cup. They have been rewarded with the valuable 3 rating points and are now ranked 4th in the updated Men's T20I standings. South Africa were on a tour of the West Indies for a three-match T20I series. The three T20I were hosted at Sabina Park, Jamaica where South Africa and West Indies stepped up for a full dress rehearsal for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. West Indies won in the chase, won in defence and won all three matches against South Africa.

Brandon King is an absolute gem for the West Indies. Following his 79 off 45 in the first T20I, WI posted 175 on the board for SA. In reply, Reeza Hendricks scored 87 alone and the rest of the team could only score 60 runs and they lost the match by 28 runs.

In the second T20I, West Indies again batted first and this time, the whole team posted an amazing batting show with 207 runs on the board. South African players again got some brilliant starts but ended up being 16 runs behind the target.

SA had high hopes in the third T20I as they were batting first this time. However, they still lost wickets after wicket and posted just 163 on the board. West Indies marched down the total quickly with quick innings from Johnson Charles and Brandon Kings and won the match by 8 wickets within 14 overs.

West Indies were ranked 6th in the T20I rankings before the series and now after winning the series 3-0, they are number 4 in the list. They made a gain of 3 rating points and now they have 252 ratings in 39 matches.

South Africa, who were 4th ranked Team are now ranked 7th with 244 rating points. They lost 6 rating points from 250 and slipped in the T20 team rankings.

India are still at the top of the table with a big lead of 7 rating points to Australia. England are ranked third with 254 ratings.
