ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Super League Points Table: Sri Lanka was unable to win the third and final One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand at Hamilton’s Seddon Park and the blackcaps took the series 2-0. Chasing 158 for victory in Hamilton, New Zealand overcame a wobbly start that saw it lose two wickets in the second over. The hosts lost quick three wickets within 21 runs in form of Chad Bowes, Tom Blundell, and Daryl Mitchell. Riding on Will Young’s 86 runs and Henry Nicholls’ 44 runs, the hosts got home with 103 balls to spare.

Netherlands Tour of South Africa 2023 including the two-match ODI series is also part of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Super League. In the first ODI, the proteas handed a sounding defeat to the Netherlands by 8 wickets. South Africa is currently in the ninth spot with 88 points. The Proteas have played 20 matches in their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League campaign and have won eight out of their total matches whereas they have also lost 10 games.

South Africa now basically can reach up to 98 points if they win their remaining match against the Netherlands and will definitely surpass West Indies from the eighth spot.

Along with South Africa, Ireland has a series against Bangladesh coming up in May that gives them a chance to move up to the eighth slot. With 68 points, Ireland is currently in 11th place. They may overcome West Indies and finish eighth to automatically qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 if they defeat Bangladesh in all three of the one-day internationals.
