ICC Test Rankings: In the latest announced Test Rankings by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Indian skipper Virat Kohli climbs up to fourth place while Australian batsman Steve Smith reclaimed his first position.
Both Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will lead their respective sides in the ICC World Test Championship final which is mere two nights away.
Reclaiming his position, Steve Smith collected 891 rating points while Kane Williamson has 886 rating points in the recently announced rankings.
The third place is held firmly by another Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne with 878 rating points.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli left behind the likes of Joe Root and is at fourth spot with 814 points.
Joe Root had a drastic and forgetful series against New Zealand. He managed to score mere 97 runs in the four innings and lost a couple of rating points. He is at number 5 with 797 points.
The sixth spot is jointly held by Indian cricketers Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma with 747 points.
The rest of the table remained undisturbed as Henry Nicholls, David Warner and Babar Azam retained their eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively.
