Vivo IPL 2021: CSK coach Stephen Fleming gave an update on MS Dhoni’s parents covid condition.

Vivo IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach and former cricketer Stephen Fleming said that the franchise is ‘monitoring’ the condition of MS Dhoni’s parents who have been infected with the dreaded virus and have been admitted in a private hospital in Ranchi.

In the post-match presentation after the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) game, Fleming updated that the situation is under control right now.

“From the management point of view, we’re well aware of his family situation and the support has been set up for MS and his family. The situation is under control for now but we will monitor that over the next few days,” Fleming said.

MS Dhoni’s parents came in contact with coronavirus and were admitted to the nearby private hospital in Ranchi post showing the symptoms of Covid-19. His mother Devika Devi and Father Pan Singh both were together tested covid-positive on Wednesday.

Fleming said that the management and franchise owners have talked about the situation to MS Dhoni and we have created a set-up for him and his family.

“It’s a tough time for everybody, and the fact that it’s affecting India in the way it is but also it’ll reach into the IPL with friends and family, and hopefully, not into the bubbles. We’ve spent quite a bit of time talking about care of the friends and families in the wider group.

“The franchise have the responsibility of him to give him all the support needed and hope his family recovers well from the dreaded virus,” said Stephen Fleming.
