IPL 2022 Auctions: As soon as the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 14 was suspended, the fans started having discussions about the next season of the league. The two new franchises in the IPL 2022 will add more flavours to the existing pool of eight and make the competition even more interesting.

The BCCI has earlier informed that the next season will only be held after the mega auction and the players will be reshuffled to other teams as well to give a fair chance to every franchise.

All the franchises will look forward to the IPL 2022 Mega Auction as they will get into the action to acquire players into the team.

As per the rules, franchisees will have the liberty to retain as many as five players (three via retention and two by using the Right to Match card).

However, a couple of franchises will be there who will require a complete revamp and it will be a good opportunity to get a fresh start and perform well in the IPL.

Moving ahead in the article, we will discuss three franchises that certainly need a revamp in IPL 2022.

The former champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) definitely need a new makeover to start afresh in season fifteen of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Under the captaincy of Shane Warne, Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the title in 2008 and since then there has been a complete drought in their cabinet.

Ahead of the IPL 2021, RR played a major card to hand over the captaincy to Sanju Samson and leave behind the likes of Steve Smith. Samson has done quite well in his debut season as a skipper, but he too needs immense improvement to compete against Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Kane Williamson and Virat Kohli.

RR has heavily relied upon their overseas players and it would be fair to say that the core of the franchise is formed by its foreign players. Currently, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Jos Buttler along with Sanju Samson forms the core which is a slight disadvantage.

The franchise will look to free up the overseas slots by acquiring a couple of experienced Indian cricketers. This will also give them space to experiment on their overseas slots and could possibly lead to a better team combination.
