<p>In response, Nepal's Under-19 team had a promising start with a 48-run opening partnership between Deepak Bohara (22 runs in 42 balls) and Arjun Kamal (26 runs in 64 balls). However, the dismissal of both batters by Raj Limbani (1-25) and left-arm spinner Saumy Pandey (4-29) triggered a collapse in Nepal's batting unit. They concluded the game with a score of 165 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs, leading to the Boys in Blue winning the match by 132 runs.</p>



<p>Nepal's pace bowler Gulsan Jha (3-56), Indian spinner Saumy Pandey (4-29), and medium-pacer Arshin Kulkarni (2-18) emerged as the standout bowlers in the match.</p>



<p>The match between Australia U19 and West Indies U19 ended up getting washed out due to the interruption of rain, while South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by a margin of 119 runs.</p>



<p>In Group 1 of the Super Six, Defending Champions India U19 have shown some really dominant performances as they have managed to win all their two Super Six games against Nepal and New Zealand, while they also won all three of their group stage matches against the likes of Bangladesh, the USA, and Ireland. Therefore, the boys in blue are at the top of their Super Six group with 8 points in four matches and an excellent run rate of +3.155. <p>Talking about the Super Six Group 2, Australia U19 (7 points) are currently at the top of the table with three consecutive victories against the likes of Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and arch-rivals England. Their recent encounter against the West Indies was washed out due to the interruption of rain. The Aussies have a net run rate of +2.781 in four matches.</p>



<p>South Africa U19 are the second group-two team to qualify for the semi-finals, as they finished at number two in the points table with six points in four games, having won three encounters against Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe. They lost one match against England. The proteas have a net run rate of +1.683.</p>



<p>The Windies finished their Super Six stage at number 3 with five points as they won two out of their four matches, while one match against Australia was washed out due to rain. West Indies has a net run rate of +0.134 in four matches.</p>



<p>Sri Lanka U19 and England U19 are in the fourth and fifth positions, with two points each after four and three matches, respectively. <p>In reply, Sri Lanka suffered a top-order collapse as openers Pullindu Perera (0 runs), Sineth Jayawardena (6 runs in 13 balls), and Supun Waduge (0 runs) were sent back to the pavilion inside the first five overs of the Sri Lanka innings by fast bowler Kwena Maphaka (6-21 runs).</p>



<p>The middle order tried to stabilise things a bit with some decent run contributions by Dinura Kalupahana (19 runs in 24 balls), Hirun Kapurubandara (16 runs in 16 balls), and Sharujan Shanmuganathan (29 runs in 32 balls), but all three of them were dismissed by Maphaka and Riley Norton (4-28). Eventually, the Proteas inflicted an all-out on Sri Lanka as the Island Nation team was all out for 113 runs, and South Africa won the match by 119 runs.</p>

The wicketkeeper-batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Richard Seletswane weaved a 70-odd runs partnership and Musheer Khan broke the partnership by dismissing Pretorius playing at 73 runs.</p>

<p>Again, the saviors from the last match, i.e., skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas came to the rescue. They both first relaxed down the pressure and then unleashed the counterattack. They together added 180 runs for the 5th wicket where Sachin Dhas played the anchor role and smacked 96 runs in 95 balls. He missed his century by just 4 runs and fell prey to Kwena Maphaka.</p>

<p>India U19 still needed 45 runs off 8 overs. Uday was watchful at the other end and didn't allow South African bowlers to build pressure. India lost two quick wickets in 3 balls which gave the home team a glimpse of hope but Raj Limbani entered the square with another plan. He smacked a six when India were going under pressure. India needed 2 runs when the skipper got run out at 81 runs but Raj Limbani ensured India's ticket to the final with no further damage and India won the game by 2 wickets.</p>

<p>The U19 World Cup 2024 semifinal 1 was a pure entertainer where the game was wavering throughout the course of 50 overs of the chase. India U19 who have always batted first in the tournament took a bold decision of bowling first in the semifinal after winning the toss. </p>

The home team posted the target of 245 in 50 overs courtesy of 64 from Richard and 76 from wicketkeeper-batter Pritorious.</p>



<p>Even after losing four wickets for thirty-two runs in 12 overs, Sachin Dhas and captain Uday Saharan managed to hold onto the crease. After they forged a strong partnership of more than 170 runs, Saharan and Sachin Dhas's outstanding stand helped India pull off a thrilling chase.</p>

<p>A bit of a fumble towards the end where India lost two wickets for just a run and the skipper also got runout, but Raj Limbani ensured no further damage and took the team home with a boundary. India U19 won the game by two wickets.</p>
