<p><strong>PAK vs BAN 1st Test</strong>: The first of the two test matches in Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi from 21st August but according to the meteorologist, the first test match may be cancelled due to rain.</p>



<p>According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Rawalpindi on all five days of the match (21 - 25 August).</p>



<p>According to Pakistani media sources, bad weather in Pakistan has hampered preparations at the venue. The ground staff has not even prepared the pitch yet, although the ground staff has three days time to prepare the pitch.</p>

<p>Pakistan remains cautiously optimistic despite Bangladesh being in a favorable position in the Test match. Bangladesh requires only 143 runs to win the series and has all 10 wickets in hand. They will be hoping for the rain to clear as soon as possible, but that alone won't guarantee a resumption of play. </p>

<p>The match began with Bangladesh winning the toss and opting to field first, inviting Pakistan to bat. Pakistan did not have a strong start, but steady innings from Saim Ayub and Shan Masood helped stabilize their innings. A well-played fifty by Agha Salman lower down the order guided Pakistan to a respectable first-innings total of 274.</p>



<p>While Pakistan's batting was average, their bowling performance was exceptional. In the absence of key bowlers Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi, Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza stepped up, reducing Bangladesh to 26 for 6. However, experienced campaigners Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz mounted a crucial recovery for Bangladesh. Thanks to their outstanding efforts, Bangladesh finished just 12 runs short of Pakistan's total in the first innings.</p>

<p>Watching Litton Das to bat on that surface seemed like the surface was very handy for batting but no, it wasn't that good. Pakistan lost their two wickets in the span of just 3.4 overs at the end of DAY 3. </p>



<p>Pakistan's performance in the second innings was below par, following an average showing in the first innings. The top six Pakistani batters managed to score only 64 runs combined. However, a determined effort from Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman helped them set a target of 184 for Bangladesh to chase.</p>
