<p>The first test of ENG vs WI 2024 started with the Home team winning the toss and opting to bowl first. <p>England summed up West Indies for just 121 runs and in return posted 371 runs in their first innings. The carnage from Gus Atkinson didn't stop in the first innings, he came in the second innings as well and again took a five-wicket haul. He took 12 wickets in the match which is the joint-third highest in the history of test cricket for a debutant.</p>
