<p>An incredible Bollywood biopic is set to be made on the life of former legendary Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly also known by his famous nickname 'Dada'. Following the success of the biopics of Mohammad Azharuddin, Mithali Raj and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ganguly's story will also be seen on the big screens. It is reported that this incredible film be made with the help of a big financial budget and talks are ongoing of executing this film under a big production house. </p>
<p>Actor Rajkumar Rao's name has popped up to play the role of Dada in the film. Before, there were talks of Ranbir Kapoor and then Ayushmann Khurrana to play the role of the legendary Indian captain but there's no official confirmation regarding who will get the chance to play the role of Ganguly. </p>

<h2><strong>Waving Team India's shirt on the Lord's balcony</strong></h2>
<p>In the all-important final of the 2002 Natwest Trophy, Team India chased down the difficult target of 326 runs and defeated England and this victory proved to be a really historic one. After securing this victory, Dads took off his jersey and waved it on the famous Lord's balcony. This moment became a symbol of the new era of Indian Cricket and showing this moment can truly make the biopic of Ganguly special.</p>
<h2><strong>Differences with Rahul Dravid</strong></h2>
<p>The friendship between two legends of Indian Cricket, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid was quite famous in the world of Cricket. But when Greg Chappell became the head coach of the National Team, differences started arising between the two players. Ganguly didn't like Chappell's arbitrariness and he expressed his displeasure with Dravid that he was not saying anything to Chappell despite being the skipper. This is the main reason why there was a distance between the two.</p>
<h3><strong>Greg Chappell Controversy</strong></h3>
<p>In 2005, the controversy between coach Greg Chappell and Ganguly created a stir in the world of Cricket. The former Australian batter wrote an email to the BCCI and called Ganguly "physically &amp; mentally" unfit for handling the leadership duties of the Men in Blue. This entire controversy was leaked to the Indian media and it made a lot of headlines.</p>
<h2><strong>Differences with Ravi Shastri</strong></h2>
<p>During the selection of the head coach of the Indian Team in 2016, a dispute was created between Ravi Shastri and Sourav Ganguly. The former had given his interview through a video call and the latter didn't attend the interview through a video call. Apart from Ganguly, the likes of VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar were also a part of the committee formed for the selection of the Head Coach. </p>
<p>As Dada didn't attend the video call, a rhetoric was created between him and Shastri. This dispute became the main talking point in Indian Media.</p>

<p>During the 1999 ODI World Cup, the news of an affair between actress Nagma and Cricketer Sourav Ganguly popped up in the headlines. Although the Cricketer always denied it, the actress later confirmed the relationship and said that they had ended it in the interest of the country. Ganguly was already married and was the father of a child too at that time so the affair rumours proved to be very significant.</p>
