The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction is just a flash away from now. The bidding wars will be on Frey as the event will unfold at Dubai’s Coca-Cola arena. The IPL 2024 auction will take place on 19th December and a total of 333 cricketers are set to go under the hammer. Some of the big names will be under the radar and it’ll be a hell of an event to witness.

In the lot of players that are set to go under the hammer in IPL 2024 auction, 214 players will be India and 119 are overseas. 2 players are also from the associate nation. Out of all the players, 116 are capped players, 215 are uncapped players.

With excitment around the IPL 2024 auction on, veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin shared his insights on the same. He predicted prices for some of the big players in the league and shared his predictions on his YouTube challenge.
For Tamil Nadu all-rounder Shahrukh Khan, R Ashwin feels that he will be getting somehere between 10 to 14 crores. The hard-hitting batter will no doubt be under radar of various franchises, who are in need of a finisher.
R Ashwin also backed New Zealand star Rachin Ravindra to get huge amount. He believes the young all-rounder will be getting in between 4 to 7 crore in the auction. The all-rounder impressed everyone with his heroics in ODI World Cup 2023.
The off -spinner predicted that Indian pacer Harshal Patel and Gerald Coetzee might in be in demand. He backed both of them to get between 4 to 7 crores. Teams are in need of pacers and it won’t be surprise if they get big bucks in the IPL 2024 auction.
Former Delhi Capitals star Rovman Powell is likely to between 4 to 7 crores according to Ashwin. Travis Head will be going the under the hammer and might be a hot pick. However, the veteran off-spinner doesn’t feel that he will get a whopping amount as he might get between 2 to 4 crores.
Ashwin was optimistic about Australian pace bowling duo of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins getting over 14 crores. The duo no doubt can even get more as all the teams will be interested to buy them.
Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga will be bagging an amount of 10 to 14 crores as per Ashwin, who feels that Umesh Yadav will get around 7 crores. It remains to be seen how many of his predictions will come out to be true.
