IND vs WI: The wait to see the Indian team in action is finally coming to an end. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be in action against West Indies as they have reached the Caribbean. The two teams will be seen in action in Tests first, which will be played from 12th July to 24th July followed by ODIs that are slated to be played from 27th July to August 1st. The five-match T20Is are scheduled to take place from 4th August to 13th August.

IND vs WI: The spotlight will be on the Test series first as it’ll mark the new edition of the ICC World Test Championship for Indian Cricket Team. They recently suffered a loss in the final of the WTC Final 2023 against Australia and quite a few questions were raised over them. 

However, after that, there were quite a few changes in the squad, as well as some seniors, were dropped and there were opportunities for youngsters. One among them has been young Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-hander has been named in the team in place of Cheteshwar Pujara.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been toiling hard in the domestic circuit and his hard work paid off. He was there with the team as a standby as well for the WTC Final. Ever since reaching the Carribean, he has put in hard yards and has been preparing well with the team. 

As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that Jaiswal is the front-runner to make his debut in whites for India in the first Test against West Indies. He was staggering in the two-day practice game as well as blasted a half-century and looked good to the eyes. 

If the reports related to him emerge to be true, he will likely open or bat at No.3 for the team. The left-hander has been performing well batting at the top of the order for his domestic teams and it remains to be seen how he fares at the international level.
