IND vs ENG: Jasprit Bumrah to PLAY 3rd India vs England Test, India's Test Squad Selection in a day

Ahead of the IND vs ENG second Test, India dealt a massive blow. Star batter KL Rahul was ruled out of the second match. The match between India and England will be played from 2nd February in Vizag. 

India batter KL Rahul complained about pain in the right quadriceps after the first Test against England in Hyderabad. The BCCI medical team assessed him and deemed him unfit to take part in the second IND vs ENG Test. 

The batter will be heading to NCA for his recovery process. KL Rahul is all certain to get fit ahead of the third Test match, which starts on 15th February. His injury isn’t that threatening and after some work he is likely to get fit. 

KL Rahul played a magnificent innings for the team in the first IND vs ENG game. He slammed 86 runs in the first innings in Hyderabad and then played a decent hand of 22 runs in second innings. His efforts went in vain as India lost the game by the margin of 28 runs.

The absence of KL Rahul for the second IND vs ENG Test will leave a huge void in the team, especially with Virat Kohli also not being there. Apart from the batter, Ravindra Jadeja also suffered hamstring injury and will be missing the second game. 

With India bagging loss in the first game along with few players not being available, they will be under pressure heading into the second Test. It remains to be seen what combination they will field for the second IND vs ENG Test in Vizag.

After KL Rahul was ruled out of the IND vs ENG game, BCCI replaced him with Sarfaraz Khan in the team. The young batter after toiling hard in the domestic circuit for 4-5 years has finally received his maiden India call-up. 

Sarfraz Khan had racked up 3912 runs at an average of 69.85, 14 centuries and 11 fifties in 45 FC games. With the kind of runs that he has amassed and form he is in, it won’t be a surprise if he makes his debut for the team in the second IND vs ENG game.
