The IND vs AFG series is one and the hosts have taken an early lead in the series. Indian team displayed a dominant performance in the first game in Mohali and thumped the opposition by 6 wickets. The focus now shifts towards the second game, which will be played on 14th January in Indore.

IND vs AFG: India playing 11 for the second T20I against Afghanistan prediction

India missed the services of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli in the first IND vs AFG game. But in their absence players performed well and all the eyes will be on the team management as to what playing XI they will field in the second match.

Skipper Rohit Sharma no doubt will be there as an opener. He would be eager to make an impact after bagging a duck in the first game. Shubman Gill had a decent outing in the first IND vs AFG game but it is likely that he will make way for Yashasvi Jaiswal if the latter will be fit.

Tilak Varma played a handy knock in the first game at No.3 but with Virat Kohli being back, it’s a no-brainer that the southpaw will have to sit. If he plays it will for the first time that Kohli will be playing a T20I months in 14 months.

Shivam Dube is expected to retain his place in the team for the second IND vs AFG game. The all-rounder was at his best in the game with both bat and ball. He picked one wicket with the ball and also blasted a brutal unbeaten 60 runs to take his team home.

Jitesh Sharma got a nod ahead of Sanju Samson in the first match and did a great job. It’s fair to say that he seems to be in the plans of the team for the World Cup. Along with him, Rinku Singh is expected to retain his place as a finisher in the team.

India played three spinners in the first game in Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi. There might be a possibility that they will continue with the same combination. The Indore stadium being very small, it will be a great challenge for them.

Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar did a decent job for the team in the first IND vs AFG game. The duo is also expected to retain his place in the team.
