Star Indian left-handed red-ball batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to make a move in his domestic career, as he quits Mumbai to play for Goa from the upcoming edition, eyeing a major captaincy role in the new side.

Indian dynamic opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to make a big move in his domestic career, as the left-hander has decided to leave Mumbai and join the Ranji team for the State of Goa in the upcoming domestic season.

Jaiswal has been a star for India in the red-ball and has had a fine record playing both in India and also in overseas conditions. According to recent reports, Jaiswal wrote an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association on the 1st of April urging for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to part ways with his former state team, Mumbai, in order to extend his domestic career further with Goa.

Jaiswal played the last Ranji season for Mumbai, appearing in the game against Jammu & Kashmir, where he came back with scores of 4 & 26 in the two innings. As of now, Goa has been promoted to the elite division of the Ranji Trophy.

Previously big Mumbai names like Siddhesh Lad and former Indian veteran Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, shifted their domestic careers from Mumbai to Goa.

An official from the MCA was quoted saying, “He has sought a NOC from us and has cited that the reason for his move to Goa as personal.”
