03. Eden Gardens, India – (80,000 Capacity):
The Eden Gardens, Kolkata is the oldest Cricket Stadium of India and is the second-largest seating capacity wise. Established way back in 1864, Eden Gardens is also the third-largest Cricket Stadium in the World.
It is also referred to as, “Mecca of Indian Cricket”, “Batsman’s Paradise”, and “cricket’s answer to the Colosseum”.
The Eden Gardens has hosted several historic cricket games for India. The venue was chosen to host the first-ever pink ball test between India and Bangladesh. The ground also hosts marquee games of the ICC World Cups and IPL.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has Eden Gardens as their home ground and has a seating capacity of over 80,000 fans.
