While, Chipli made 24 in 13 balls with two fours and two sixes, Uthappa was quicker as he played a whirlwind knock of 28 in 11 balls with two fours and three sixes. Both the openers set the platform, which was cashed in by skipper Dinesh Karthik.

India beats Pakistan by 2 runs (DLS) in the Hong Kong sixes
In the chase, Pakistan had a great start as well. They reached 41 for 1 after three overs before the rain stopped play. The match wasn’t further possible as the DLS method came into action and India were declared winners by the margin of just two runs.
Stuart Binny was the pick of the bowlers as he gave away just seven runs in the over just before the rain break. Thanks to that, India were declared winners, marking a great start to their campaign in Pool C.
For his brilliant innings with the bat. Robin Uthappa won the Player of the Match. This marked yet another win for the Indian side over Pakistan in cricket. This year, India has dominated their arch-rivals, beating them in ICC Champions Trophy 2025, thrice in Asia Cup 2025, Women’s World Cup 2025 and now the Hong Kong Sixes.
