Vivo IPL 2021: Premier Bangladesh’s cricketers Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hassan will not be given clearance to play the remainder of the Vivo IPL 2021 which is scheduled in UAE, said Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief Nazmul Hassan on Monday.

The remaining 31 games of the Vivo IPL 2021 will be rescheduled in the UAE between September and October. The tournament has been shifted to the UAE keeping in mind the monsoon in India.

Mustafizur Rahman plays for Rajasthan Royals (RR) while all rounder Shakib Al Hasan features for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2021.

“It is almost impossible to provide NOC (for IPL) considering our international commitments. I don’t see any chance of giving it (NOC) to them. We have the (T20) World Cup coming up and now every match is important,” Nazmul was quoted as saying by “Ekattor TV”, a local Bengali news channel.

The Bangladesh Cricket Team will have their three white ball assignments during the same window of the Vivo IPL 2021 Phase 2. Bangladesh will lock horns against Australia, New Zealand and England for a limited-overs series.

Cricket Australia (CA) will also be reluctant to send their players for the IPL games in UAE due to excessive bubble fatigue to the players who just got released from the quarantine in Sydney. Also, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Managing Director Ashley Giles said that they will also not send their players to feature in the Vivo IPL 2021 due to a packed international summer ahead for the Englishmen.
